Abstract
La invencion se refiere a un proceso para preparar metilamina por medio de la reaccion en fase gaseosa de metanol y amoniaco como los materiales iniciales a una presion en el rango desde 15 a 30 bar, en presencia de un catalizador heterogeneo. Los materiales iniciales se vaporizan en uno o mas intercambiadores de calor (1, 2, 3), supercalentados para producir una corriente gaseosa de alimentacion y se alimentan subsecuentemente a un reactor (4), con el mezclado de los materiales iniciales que se puede llevar a cabo en la corriente de alimentacion a una de los intercambiadores de calor (1, 2, 3) o en cualquier posicion deseada en un intercambiador de calor (1, 2, 3). Una corriente gaseosa de productos que comprende monometilamina, dimetilamina y trimetilamina y tambien los productos secundarios de la reaccion se saca del reactor (4). Para controlar la temperatura de admision del reactor de los materiales iniciales a una temperatura en el rango desde 360 degree C a 370 degree C, toda o algo de la corriente gaseosa de alimentacion o la corriente gaseosa de productos se pasa a traves de una valvula (5) ajustable, para variar la presion y por lo tanto la temperatura de condensacion.
