Abstract
Se describe un acero inoxidavle ferritico que tiene mejores propiedades mecanicas a tempertatura elevada que incluye mas de 25% en peso de cromo, de 0.75 hasta 1.5% en peso de molibdeno, hasta 0.05% en peso de carbono y al menos uno de los elementos niobio, titanio y tantalio, en donde la suma de los porcentajes en peso de niobio, titanio y tantalio satisface la siguiente ecuacion: 0.4 * (%Nb + %Ti + 1/2(%Ta)) ?? 1. El coeficiente de expansion termica del acero inoxidable ferritico esta dentro de 25% del CTE de la zirconia estabilizada entre 20 degree C (68 degree F) y 1000 degree C (1832 degree F), y el acero muestra al menos una propiedad de termofluencia seleccionada de: resistencia a la ruptura por alargamiento de al menos 1000 psi a 900 degree C (1652 degree F), tiempo para el 1% de deformacion de al menos 100 horas a 900 degree C (1652 degree F) bajo una carga de 1000 psi, y tiempo para el 2% de deformacion de al menos 200 HORAS A 900 degree C (1652 degree F)bajo una carga de 1000 psi.
