Abstract

Un metodo para proveer un sistema de monitoreo de vehiculo para asegurar lecturas precisas sobre el kilometraje de un vehiculo, se hace una comparacion entre mediciones de velocidad de diversas fuentes para detectar modificaciones no autorizadas hechas a un vehiculo en un esfuerzo para asegurar lectura precisas del odometro del vehiculo; la velocidad del vehiculo medida a bordo se compara con las senales de datos de velocidad del vehiculo recibidos desde un sistema satelite remoto a la luz de una tolerancia permisible; el sistema detectara cambios en el vehiculo como el tamano de las ruedas o la manipulacion indebida de los dispositivos para medicion a bordo del vehiculo; el sistema puede comunicar condiciones fuera de tolerancia al operador del vehiculo y al administrador de flotilla.
