Abstract

Un sistema de recuperacion de luz para una pantalla de visualizacion de proyeccion con un reflector que tiene puntos focales primero y segundo. Una fuente de radiacion electromagnetica esta dispuesta cerca del primer punto focal del reflector para emitir rayos de radiacion que se reflejan desde el reflector y que convergen substancialmente en el segundo punto focal. Un retro-reflector esta colocado opuesto al reflector para reflejar cuando menos una parte de la radiacion electromagnetica que no golpea directamente sobre el reflector hacia al reflector a traves del primer punto focal del reflector para incrementar la intensidad de flujo de los rayos convergentes. Un conducto de flujo luminoso con una superficie de entrada y una superficie de salida esta dispuesto con la superficie de entrada cerca del segundo punto focal para recolectar y transmitir substancialmente toda la radiacion. Un primer reflector esta dispuesto cerca de la superficie de salida para transmitir una primera banda de radiacion mientras refleja una segunda y tercera bandas de radiacion. Un segundo reflector esta dispuesto cerca de la superficie de salida para transmitir la segunda banda de radiacion mientras refleja las bandas primera y tercera de radiacion. Un tercer reflector esta dispuesto cerca de la superficie de salida para transmitir la tercera banda de radiacion mientras refleja las bandas de radiacion primera y segunda. En una alternativa, un PBS esta dispuesto cerca de la superficie de salida para recolectar y polarizar substancialmente toda la radiacion en radiacion de una primera polarizacion y una segunda polarizacion. La radiacion de la primera polarizacion es transmitida, en tanto que la segunda polarizacion es reflejada hacia la superficie de salida. Una placa de onda esta dispuesta en una trayectoria de la radiacion de la segunda polarizacion.
