Abstract
Se producen poliuretanos/ureas segmentados utiles en la produccion de espandex, en particular de fibras de espandex, a partir de prepolimeros acabados en isocianato formados por reaccion de un exceso de isocianato con un componente reactivo con isocianato que satisface requerimientos especificados de composicion en presencia de un catalizador que promueve la polimerizacion lineal, pero que no causa degradacion del polimero. Como catalizadores adecuados se incluyen sales metalicas de acidos grasos organicos y/o de acido naftenico. El componente reactivo con isocianato incluye al menos un 10 por ciento en equivalentes de un polioxipropilendiol que tiene un peso molecular medio numerico de al menos aproximadamente 1.500 Da y un nivel de insaturacion medio inferior o igual a 0,03 meq/g, y hasta un 90 por ciento en equivalentes de un politetrametilenglicol que tiene un peso molecular medio numerico de al menos 200 Da.
