A PROCESS FOR PREPARING A POLYURETHANE FOAM COMPRISING REACTING AN ISOCYANATE COMPOSITION COMPRISING A POLYESTER-POLYOL PREPARED BY POLYCONDENSATION OF A POLYBASIC ACID COMPONENT COMPRISING AN AROMATIC POLYBASIC ACID AND AN ALIPHATIC BASIC ACID, WHEREIN THE MOLAR RATIO OF THE AROMATIC POLYBASIC ACID TO THE ALIPHATIC BASIC ACID IS 0.05 TO 0.4, AND A POLYHYDRIC ALCOHOL COMPONENT, AND AN ISOCYANATE-TERMINATED PREPOLYMER PREPARED BY REACTING A POLYETHER-POLYOL HAVING AN AVERAGE NUMBER OF FUNCTIONAL HYDROXYL GROUPS OF 2 TO 6 AND A NUMBER-AVERAGE MOLECULAR WEIGHT OF 1,500 TO 20,000 WITH AN ORGANIC POLYISOCYANATE (COMPONENT A); WITH A POLYOL COMPONENT COMPRISING A POLYESTER-POLYOL OR POLYETHER-POLYOL, A CHAIN EXTENDER, A BLOWING AGENT, AND A URETHANE PROMOTING CATALYST (COMPONENT B). ACCORDING TO THE PROCESS OF THE PRESENT INVENTION, A PLOYURETHANE FOAM HAVING EXCELLENT FINAL PHYSICAL PROPERTIES SUCH AS TENSILE STRENGTH, WHICH CAN BE SUITABLY USED PARTICULARLY AS A POLYURETHANE FOAM FOR SHOE SOLES, CAN BE OBTAINED WITHOUT THE GENERATION OF PINHOLES OR SHRINKAGES ON THE SURFACE OF THE FORMED ARTICLES.
