Abstract

Se proporciona un instrumento que mide, en forma sincronizada, los errores de refraccion del sistema optico de un ojo y sus componentes refractivos que tienen: un sistema de lentes que define un eje optico del instrumento y un dispositivo de alineacion que sincroniza el eje visual del ojo con el eje optico del instrumento. Una fuente luminosa (120) produce un haz de sondeo (122) que es proyectado a traves del sistema de lentes paralelo al eje optico del instrumento y es susceptible de ser selectivamente colocado, en forma parcial, desplazado del eje optico del instrumento para entras al ojo, paralelo al eje optico del instrumento en una pluralidad de posiciones de la abertura de ojo. Un primer fotodetector (144) mide la posicion de una primera porcion de la reflexion difusa del haz luminoso de sondeo que proviene de la retina (135) del ojo (130) a fin de determinar el error de refraccion total del sistema optico del ojo en una pluralidad de posiciones. Un segundo fotodetector (156) mide, en forma sincronizada, la posicion de una segunda porcion de la reflexion difusa del haz luminoso de sondeo reflejada de regreso a partir de las corneas de los ojos a fin de determinar la forma de la cornea (131) y de esta manera, derivar los otros componentes refractivos.
