Abstract

Un metodo para producir tiras consiste en colar en forma continua acero al carbono en una tira de no mas de 5 mm de espesor y enrollar la tira. La tira posteriormente se desenrolla y se lamina en frio, luego se templa para producir una micro estructura con esfuerzos liberados en esta. El laminado en frio produce una reduccion en frio suficiente para aumentar la resistencia a la traccion de la tira hasta cuando menos 680 MPa pero tal que la elongacion al rompimiento de la tira despues del templado es en el intervalo de 8% hasta 12%. El laminado en frio puede producir una reduccion en frio del espesor de la tira en el intervalo de 40% hasta 80%. La tira colada en forma continua puede ser opcionalmente laminada en caliente en linea antes del enrollado para producir una reduccion de espesor de la tira inicial en el intervalo de 40% hasta 60%.
