Abstract
La invencion se refiere a derivados novedosos de un espiro [2H-1benzopiran-2,4'-piperidinal- 4(3H) de la formula (1) en donde R representa el halogeno, grupo nitro o un grupo alquilo C16 de cadena recta o ramificada y sus sales de adicion ácida así como sus sales cuaternarias de la formula (1a), en donde R y R' son el mismo o diferente y son idénticos para el proposito de dicho (anterior) R o pueden significar también hidrogeno, y Z representa un equivalente de un anion. Los compuestos de las formulas (1) y (1a) ejercen un efecto mejorador sobre las demencias de diversos orígenes patologicos y los síntomas que acompañan a las mismas. Además la invencion se refiere a un proceso para la preparacion de compuestos de las formulas (1) y (1a); a las composiciones farmacéuticas contienen como agentes activos los compuestos anteriores de las formulas (1) y (1a); y a un método de tratamiento.
