Abstract
La presente invencion se refiere a una célula electroquímica o apilamiento de células que comprenden dos placas extremas (7), placas bipolares (1) hechas de metal o aleacion metálica, distribuidores metálicos permeables al gas (2), colectores de corriente metálicos (3), estructuras de empaquetadura (4) provistas de canales para alimentar los reactantes gaseosos y descargar el exceso de reactantes y condensados, un par de electrodos de difusion de gas (5), una membrana de intercambio ionico (6), en donde dichos colectores de corriente proporcionan un área de contactos segmentada altamente distribuida sobre la superficie del electrodo sin picos aislados y tienen una superficie extremadamente uniforme sin asperezas y, al mismo tiempo, porosa y permeable al flujo de gas.
