Abstract

La presente invencion se relaciona con un método para trabajar una tira de acero inoxidable laminada en caliente, particularmente una tira de acero inoxidable austenítico con la intencion de reducir el espesor y aumentar la resistencia mecánica de la tira. El método se caracteriza por: una laminacion en frío de la tira laminada en caliente, con una reduccion en el espesor de cuando menos el 10%, a un espesor que es cuando menos el 2%, y en la mayor parte el 10%, más grande que el espesor final pretendido para el producto acabado; un recocido de la tira laminada en frío a una temperatura entre 1,050 degree C y 1,250 degree C; y un estiramiento en frío de la tira después del proceso de recocido con el fin de plastificar y alargar permanentemente la tira, reduciendo así su espesor entre 2-10%.
