Abstract

La presente invención proporciona un sistema para el procesamiento de la información, para un medio de almacenamiento secundario el cual puede prevenir la reproducción ilegítima del medio de almacenamiento secundario tal como CD-ROMs (memorias de solo lectura en disco compacto) permitiendo únicamente un medio de almacenamiento secundario en una relación prescrita con un cartucho del mismo a ser utilizado. Un primer dato de nombre es almacenado en un medio de almacenamiento secundario tal como un CD-ROM previo, mientras un segundo dato de nombre con una relación con el primer dato de nombre del medio de almacenamiento secundario al igual que una dirección de nombre del mismo son almacenados en una ROM proporcionada en un cartucho de almacenamiento. Cuando es activada una CPU (unidad procesadora central), esta lee el primer dato de nombre del medio de almacenamiento secundario de acuerdo con la dirección del nombre y proporciona un elemento de seguridad en el cartucho que compara el primer dato de nombre con el segundo dato de nombre almacenado en la ROM. Si el elemento de seguridad decide que los dos datos de nombre tienen una relación prescrita entre sí, un sistema de control lee una parte del dato de programa almacenado en la CD-ROM para el objeto inherente para el procesador de imágenes y la envía hacia una RAM (memoria de acceso aleatorio) principal. A continuación, la CPU corre el programa en la RAM principal.
