Abstract
Un método para incrementar la hidrofobicidad de los materiales, sólidos. El método de la presente invención incluye los pasos de: (a) la activación de ión de metal de la superficie de un material de susbrato sólido para proporcionar sitios de metal reactivo sobre la superficie y (b) enlazar químicamente un tensoactivo con la superficie en los sitios de metal reactivo. Los pigmentos de dióxido de titanio y otros modificadores de las propiedades de las partículas tratados de conformidad con el método de la presente invención se dispersan más rápidamente en composiciones de polímeros.
