Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a rotores inducidos, de los empleados en los ralentizadores electromagnéticos para vehículos autopropulsados, bancos de ensayo de potencia de motores de explosión y otras aplicaciones, que están construidos mediante el empleo de fundiciones de tipo nodular con matriz esencialmente ferrítica, con un contenido en carbono comprendido entre 2,5 y 4 en peso respecto del peso total de la fundición. La utilización de dichos materiales en lugar de los habitualmente empleados permite construir rotores con diseños de paredes más delgadas y por tanto menos pesados que, conservando excelentes propiedades de permeabilidad magnética, manifiestan una resistencia a la fatiga térmica superior a la de los rotores construidos con materiales convencionales.
