Abstract
Un método para la remoción y concentración de iones deseados tales como Pd(II), Ru(III), Pd(IV), Au(I), Ag(I), y Hg(II) de una solución de una fuente de iones múltiple que puede contener concentraciones más grandes de otros iones indeseados incluyendo H+ que comprende poner la solución de fuente en contacto con un compuesto que comprende un grupo de retiro de electrones y azufre que contiene un grupo coordinador ligado covalentemente a través de un agrupamiento de silicio separador orgánico hacia un soporte inorgánico sólido. El grupo de retiro de azufre y electrones que contienen la porción(es) del grupo coordinador del compuesto que tiene una afinidad para los iones deseados a fin de formar un complejo removiendo de esta manera los iones deseados de solución de fuente o procedencia. Los iones deseados se remueven del compuesto poniendo en contacto el compuesto con un volumen mucho más pequeño de una solución receptora que tiene una mayor afinidad para los iones deseados que el grupo de retiro de azufre y electrones que contienen la porción del grupo coordinador del compuesto. El proceso es útil para remover los iones deseados e indeseados de las corrientes residuales acídicas, corrientes de refinación de metal y otras corrientes industriales o ambientales. La invención es también atraída hacia el grupo de retiro de azufre y electrones que contiene grupos coordinadores ligados covalentamente a través de un agrupamiento separador a un material de soporte sólido inorgánico hidrofílico.
