Abstract
La presente invención se relaciona con una bala de punta hueca con forro metálico completo (110) la cual tiene una porción del forro (120) que se extiende dentro del extremo frontal abierto hueco (116) de la bala. La porción del forro en el extremo frontal hueco tiene una pluralidad de ranuras radiales y dientes terminados en punta reforzados (126) entre él. Una perforación ciega vacía (128) se extiende desde las puntas de los dientes (126) axialmente hacia atrás en el núcleo de la bala (114). La base de cada uno de los dientes está reforzada en la boca del extremo frontal por un filete (130). Esos dientes (126) se proyectan de manera general radialmente hacia afuera con la alteración de las balas en el tejido blando después de pasar a través de materiales de barrera tales como ropa o piel de ciervo. Los forros tienen un recubrimiento de óxido de cobre (123) sobre sus superficies interna y externa el cual una el núcleo de plomo blando al forro y reduce al mínimo el derrame de plomo y lubrica la bala.
