Abstract

Una resina terminada en amina miscible o soluble en agua, útil como un agente de curado, la cual incluye el producto de reacción de A) un componente de poliamina que incluye uno o más polialquilenglicoles terminados en amina hidrofílica, y opcionalmente una o más poliaminas hidrofóbicas; B) un componente de poliepóxido, el cual incluye uno o más diglicidiléteres de una cicloalquilenglicol, y opcionalmente uno o más poliglicidiléteres hidrofóbicos, donde la mezcla opcionalmente es avanzada por un extensor de amina; C) opcionalmente un diluyente reactivo, el cual es capaz de reaccionar con una resina epóxica; y D) opcionalmente, un catalizador para la reacción de una amina con una resina epóxica; donde el Componente A se emplea en un exceso equivalente con respecto al Componente B, de tal manera que las fracciones terminales del producto de reacción son fracciones de amina capaces de reaccionar con una resina epóxica; la composición tiene un peso equivalente de hidroxiamina de 140 a 240; y la composición es soluble en agua o miscible en agua. En las modalidades preferidas, esta resina terminada en amina tiene un vehículo de molido de pigmento eficiente. La resina terminada en amina puede dispersarse en agua con un poliepóxido para formar una composición de revestimiento.
