Abstract

Se proporciona una emulsión que puede rociarse. La emulsión puede utilizarse en el tratamiento de diversos padecimientos cutáneos. La emulsión incluye un propelente a base de hidrofluoro, un sistema de formación de emulsión, una fase oleosa, una fase acuosa y partículas de agentes activos. Además, el sistema de formación de emulsión incluye por lo menos un emulsionante no iónico. La emulsión tiene una viscosidad que varía de aproximadamente 500 centipoises a aproximadamente 10,000 centipoises y un valor de equilibrio hidrofílico a lipofílico (HLB) de aproximadamente 2 a aproximadamente 12. Los presentes inventores han determinado que al controlar en forma selectiva la naturaleza del sistema de formación de emulsión y la viscosidad de la emulsión, las partículas de agentes activos resisten el asentamiento, de tal modo que se mantiene una distribución sustancialmente homogénea de las partículas de agentes activos y puede rociarse en forma uniforme sobre una superficie sin que se corra una vez que se aplique.
