Abstract

Un proceso de polimerización catiónica para la síntesis de polímeros nano-estructurados que contienen grafeno que comprende hacer reaccionar óxido de grafito dispersado en un solvente por medio de ultrasonidos, con al menos un monómero de vinilo y al menos un monómero aromático de vinilo, en la presencia de al menos un ácido inorgánico fuerte y adecuado para la activación de una polimerización catiónica, en donde: - el óxido de grafito contiene el 5% a 60% en peso de oxígeno unido, - el monómero de vinilo contiene al menos un grupo de carboxílico en donde la relación entre el oxígeno unido al óxido y los grupos carboxílicos varía de 1:10 a 10:1 en moles por mol, y - la relación entre el monómero aromático de vinilo y la suma de la cantidad de óxido de grafito y el monómero de vinilo que contiene grupos carboxílicos varía de 50% a 99% en peso.
