Abstract
La presente invención se refiera a una microcápsula que exhibe propiedades deseables de liberación sostenida, dicha microcápsula comprende un material de núcleo que comprende un ingrediente activo encapsulado dentro de una cubierta de sílice, en donde la superficie externa de dicha cubierta de sílice tiene una capa de un metal seleccionado del Grupo 2a, Grupo 8, Grupo e 2b o Grupo 3a de la Tabla Periódica unido a la misma. En otros aspectos, esta invención se refiere a un método para hacer una microcápsula; una composición pesticida que comprende microcápsulas que incluyen un ingrediente activo pesticida y un vehículo adecuado; y a un método para controlar plagas que comprende aplicar una cantidad efectiva de dicha composición pesticida a un sitio en donde están o se espera que estén presentes las plagas.
