Un quemador de gas mejorado (2, 57) para un equipamiento de cocina, tal como una placa de cocina, que comprende - un recipiente del inyector con forma de copa (4) de soporte que puede fijarse en una posición correspondiente con una abertura (8) proporcionada en la placa de cocina (6) en la que dicho quemador se pretende sea instalado, - un divisor de llama (10) que reposa sobre dicho soporte con forma de copa (4) de tal manera que define, con su cerco circunferencial exterior (30) y con la superficie de dicha placa de cocina (6) en la que dicho quemador (2) se pretende sea instalado, un paso (32) para la entrada de un flujo de aire primario (34), - al menos una cubierta de chapa metálica (12) que reposa de modo extraíble sobre dicho divisor de llama (10) y que define con él al menos una cámara de distribución (42) para la mezcla de combustión de gas y aire primario, - en el que dicha cámara de distribución (42) está limitada mediante una banda alzada (22), en la que se proporcionan una pluralidad de ranuras radiales (24) para el paso de dicha mezcla de combustión, comprendiendo dicha cubierta (12) una pluralidad de aberturas (46) enfrentadas a dichas ranuras radiales (24) y que cooperan con ellas para definir la inclinación de las llamas (52) que emergen desde dichas aberturas (46).
