Abstract
Se describe un método y aparato para formar un núcleo para una máquina eléctrica, en la cual una tira de metal estampado (4a, 4b) es devanada en un mandril (22), para formar un devanado helicoidal. Posteriormente, el diámetro del mandril es aumentado para aplicar tensión a la tira de devanado, mientras las bobinas de la tira de devanado son sostenidas por medio de sujetadores (24, 25). Las bobinas de la tira de devanado son, entonces, fijadas una a otra (50, 51), mientras la bobina se mantiene con el diámetro aumentado. El diámetro del mandril es entonces reducido para desenganchar el núcleo laminado del mandril. Para producir un rotor o estator para una máquina eléctrica, se montan bobinas eléctricas en muescas formadas en la superficie exterior o interior del núcleo. El rotor o estator puede entonces ser incorporado en una máquina eléctrica tal como un motor o generador.
