Abstract

La presente se refiere a las composiciones tipo azeótropo, a los métodos y sistemas que tienen utilidad en múltiples aplicaciones, y en particular, los usos para las composiciones tipo azeótropo que contienen cantidades efectivas del compuesto cis-1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluoro-2-buteno (Z-HFO-1336mzzm), el cual tiene la siguiente estructura: (ver Fórmula) y otro material seleccionado del grupo que consiste en agua, fluorocetonas, alcoholes, hidroclorofluoroolefinas, y combinaciones de dos o más de éstos. Estas composiciones pueden utilizarse en una amplia variedad de aplicaciones, como puede ser agentes de soplado, refrigerantes, agentes calefactores, agentes para ciclos de energía, agentes limpiadores, propelentes para aerosoles, agentes esterilizantes, lubricantes, extractantes para sabores y aromas, agentes reductores de la inflamabilidad y agentes supresores de llamas.
