Abstract
Se describe un método para la preparación de ésteres de glicerol (triglicéridos) de ácidos grasos monocarboxílicos de cadena media que consisten en la reacción del precursor del ácido graso libre y glicerol en presencia de un catalizador bajo vacío parcial; el procedimiento utiliza preferentemente un catalizador metálico tal como un óxido o un cloruro de tungsteno, molibdeno, calcio, cinc, cromo o magnesio; el método de la invención permite la preparación con alto rendimiento y pureza alta (>99.5%) del triglicérido final; el método de la presente permite la formación de triglicéridos sin solvente; también se contempla el triglicérido obtenido mediante el método y la composición farmacéutica que contiene el triglicérido como excipiente o como ingrediente activo.
