Abstract
Un método para el retiro de metales y aminas de petróleo crudo que comprende agregar una cantidad efectiva que retira metal de uno o más ácidos hidroxicarboxílicos seleccionados de ácido láctico y ácido málico y sales de los mismos a dicho petróleo crudo; agregar agua de enjuague a dicho petróleo crudo; mezclar dicho petróleo crudo, el ácido y el agua de enjuague para formar una emulsión; y transformar dicha emulsión en una fase acuosa y petróleo crudo que tiene un reducido contenido de metales.
