Abstract
Se describen una aleación de acero con alta resistencia, alta tenacidad. La aleación tiene la siguiente composición porcentual en peso. El elemento C 0.30-0.47 Mn, 0.8-1.3 Si, 1.5-2.5 Cr, 1.5-2.5 Ni, 3.0-5.0 Mo, + 1/2 W, 0.7-0.9 Cu, 0.70-0.90 Co, 0.01 max. V + (5/9) x Nb 0.10-0.25 Ti 0.005 max. Al 0.015 max. El resto de Fe incluido en el resto son las impurezas usuales encontradas en grados comerciales de las aleaciones de acero producidas para uso similar y propiedades que incluyen no más de aproximadamente 0.01% de fósforo y no más de aproximadamente 0.001% de azufre. También se describe un artículo endurecido y revenido que tiene muy alta resistencia y tenacidad a la fractura. El artículo se forma a partir de la aleación que tenga la composición porcentual en peso establecida anteriormente. El artículo de aleación de acuerdo con este aspecto de la invención se caracteriza además por estar revenido a una temperatura de aproximadamente 260°C (500°F) hasta 315.55°C (600°F).
