Abstract

Un método para monitorear y evaluar la vida útil de la punta de contacto en una aplicación de pulso de GMAW. La onda de soldadura por pulsos incluye la corriente y el voltaje que cambian periódicamente entre los picos y el fondo. La corriente y el voltaje de soldadura se miden en una serie de soldaduras representativas repetidas. Los datos que corresponden con el comienzo del arco y la terminación del arco de una soldadura se eliminan. Los datos se promedian para cada soldadura representativa, que corresponde a la producción de las partes soldadas y/o el uso de la punta de contacto. El deterioro de la punta de contacto se valora en función de uno o más de (i) una reducción de la frecuencia de los picos, (ii) un incremento de la longitud del fondo, y (iii) un incremento de la ocurrencia de bajo voltaje anormal. La valoración se emite como la información de la vida de la punta de contacto, y se suministra continuamente a un controlador u operador.
