Abstract
En la presente invención, se divulga planta de maíz, caracterizada porque comprende al menos una mutación braquítica no natural, en donde la planta de maíz presenta un fenotipo semienano en comparación con una planta de maíz de control que no comprende la al menos una mutación braquítica no natural cuando se cultiva en condiciones comparables. En una modalidad particular de la invención, la al menos una mutación braquítica no natural ocurre en un gen BR que reduce la actividad del gen BR y no se introduce mediante un transposón, y en donde la planta de maíz no comprende un alelo braquítico br2-23 o SNP5259.
