Abstract
Se proporcionan métodos para cultivar una planta bajo ciertas condiciones de esfuerzo que alteran la morfología de la planta; sin embargo, en ciertos aspectos, aunque la planta se altera y puede ser indeseable para fines comerciales, la planta aún produce un número adecuado de semillas para fines de reproducción; además, ya que las plantas pueden ser de menor tamaño, se pueden cultivar a densidades más altas, permitiendo la producción de grandes poblaciones de plantas a ser puestas bajo condiciones controladas que pueden excluir a los insectos polinizadores y así aumentar la pureza genética que se puede alcanzar en un programa de reproducción.
