Abstract
Se describen compuestos de metaloceno, composiciones de catalizador que comprenden un compuesto de metaloceno, procesos para polimerizar olefinas, métodos para fabricar composiciones de catalizador, polímeros de olefina y artículos hechos de polímeros de olefina. En un aspecto, los compuestos de metaloceno contienen un ligando fluorenilo y un ligando ciclopentadienilo que están unidos por un grupo de unión, en el que el metaloceno se caracteriza por [1] el ligando ciclopentadienilo sustituido con un grupo heterohidrocarbilo C2-C18 que tiene un átomo de oxígeno situado a 5 átomos de distancia o menos del ligando ciclopentadienilo y [2] el grupo de unión tiene un grupo alquenilo C3-C12 colgante que tiene un doble enlace C=C terminal. Se ha descubierto que una composición de catalizador que comprende un compuesto de metaloceno que tiene estas características puede producir polietileno que tiene un bajo índice de fusión en ausencia de un segundo metaloceno.
