Abstract

En el presente documento se proporcionan composiciones, métodos y células hospedadoras modificadas genéticamente para mejorar la producción de glucósidos de esteviol. Las células hospedadoras se modifican genéticamente para contener un ácido nucleico heterólogo que expresa variantes novedosas y optimizadas de Ro.KAH. La célula hospedadora contiene además una o más secuencias de nucleótidos heterólogas que codifican otras enzimas de una vía capaz de producir uno o más glucósidos de esteviol en la célula hospedadora. Las células hospedadoras, las composiciones y los métodos descritos en el presente documento proporcionan una ruta eficaz para la producción heteróloga de glucósidos de esteviol que incluyen rebaudiósido A, rebaudiósido D y rebaudiósido M.
