Abstract
Se describe una composición de medio para cultivar Clostridium botulinum que comprende una peptona de papa, un extracto de levadura y glucosa, y un método de preparación de una toxina botulínica mediante el uso de la misma. El medio excluye productos de origen animal y los principales alérgenos, y permite que la cepa productora de toxina botulínica alcance el nivel máximo de crecimiento dentro de poco tiempo, de esta manera proporciona efectos de acortamiento del tiempo de producción y reducción del costo de producción en el proceso de producción de la toxina botulínica.
