Abstract

En la presente se proporcionan métodos para preparar microorganismos modificados para un mayor consumo de xilosa en comparación con microorganismos no modificados. Los métodos incluyen proporcionar microorganismos consumidores de xilosa que comprenden dos o más copias de una secuencia de ácido nucleico que codifica xilosa isomerasa y dos o más copias de una secuencia de ácido nucleico que codifica una xilosa quinasa, cultivar los microorganismos en un medio que contiene xilosa y recolectar una porción de los microorganismos.
