Abstract
Los campos para el tratamiento de tumores (TTFields) pueden ser suministrados al cuerpo de un sujeto con intensidades de campo más elevadas apagando uno o más elementos de electrodos que se están sobrecalentando sin apagar otros elementos de electrodos que no se están sobrecalentando. Para ello se puede usar una pluralidad de sensores de temperatura, cada uno de los cuales está situado para detectar la temperatura en un elemento de electrodo respectivo; y una pluralidad de interruptores controlados eléctricamente, cada uno de los cuales está conectado para activar o desactivar la corriente a un elemento de electrodo individual. Un controlador recibe señales de los sensores de temperatura para determinar la temperatura en cada uno de los elementos del electrodo, y controla el estado de la entrada de control de cada uno de los interruptores controlados eléctricamente para desconectar selectivamente la corriente o ajustar el ciclo de trabajo en cualquier elemento del electrodo que se esté sobrecalentando.
