Abstract

En la presente se divulga una cepa de levadura capaz de fermentar jarabes de alta maltosa en etanol en presencia de glucosa. En cepas de levadura de etanol combustible de importancia comercial, la presencia de glucosa evita la fermentación robusta de maltosa. Esta invención provoca una cofermentación mejorada de maltosa y glucosa en cepas por lo demás idénticas a las cepas de levadura de etanol combustible comercial.
