Abstract
Se divulga un procedimiento y un dispositivo para la estabilización de fibras precursoras para la producción de fibras de carbono. Durante el procedimiento se calientan fibras precursoras en primer lugar hasta una primera temperatura y se mantienen en la temperatura durante un periodo de tiempo predeterminado. A continuación se calientan las fibras precursoras hasta al menos una segunda temperatura, que es más alta que la primera temperatura y se mantienen en esta temperatura durante un periodo de tiempo predeterminado. Durante el respectivo calentamiento y entre las etapas de calentamiento se encuentran las fibras precursoras en una atmósfera gaseosa con un vacío parcial en el intervalo entre 12 mBar y 300 mBar o bien una presión parcial de oxígeno de 2,5 a 63 mBar. El dispositivo presenta al menos una cámara de vacío extendida, que puede evacuarse, para el paso de las fibras precursoras, al menos dos unidades de esclusa y al menos una unidad de calentamiento. Al menos una unidad de esclusa sirve para la introducción estanqueizada de fibras precursoras en la al menos una cámara de vacío, mientras que al menos otra unidad de esclusa sirve para la descarga estanqueizada de fibras precursoras desde la al menos una cámara de vacío. La unidad de calentamiento tiene al menos dos elementos de calentamiento que pueden controlarse de manera individual, que son adecuados para calentar la al menos una cámara de vacío en zonas de calentamiento adyacentes en dirección longitudinal hasta al menos dos temperaturas distintas.
