Abstract
En este documento se da a conocer una membrana de separación selectiva de iones, que incluye: una capa de armazón metalorgánico formada sobre, en y/o alrededor de un sustrato, donde el armazón metalorgánico tiene una estructura cristalina que incluye una primera superficie y una segunda superficie, e incluye canales de transporte iónico formados entre ventanas de poros respectivas en la primera superficie y segunda superficie; un primer y segundo electrodos para aplicar una diferencia de potencial a lo largo de la membrana; en donde las ventanas de poros respectivas tienen un tamaño de poro que es menor al diámetro hidratado del ión para el cual la membrana de separación selectiva de iones es selectiva.
