Abstract

La invención se refiere a un pigmento de aluminio PVD en forma de escamas con una encapsulación protectora, en donde dicha encapsulación protectora comprende a) un recubrimiento encapsulante continuo (a) que contiene óxido de silicio, en donde dicho recubrimiento que contiene óxido de silicio comprende, al menos, 60 % en peso de óxido de silicio, basado en el peso total de dicho recubrimiento que contiene óxido de silicio, y b) una capa (b) de óxido metálico, en donde dicho óxido metálico se selecciona del grupo que consiste en óxido de molibdeno, hidróxido de molibdeno, óxido de molibdeno hidrato, óxido de tungsteno, hidróxido de tungsteno, óxido de tungsteno hidrato y mezclas de los mismos, y c) opcionalmente, una capa externa de modificación orgánico-química. La invención se refiere, además, al método para producir el pigmento metálico en forma de escamas, así como al uso del mismo.
