Abstract

La presente descripcion proporciona construcciones de ADN recombinante y plantas transgenicas o modificadas con rasgos mejorados tales como mayor rendimiento, mayor eficacia en el uso del nitrogeno y mayor tolerancia a la sequia o la eficacia en el uso del agua; las plantas transgenicas o modificadas pueden incluir cultivos de campo, asi como propagulos de plantas, partes de plantas y progenie de esas plantas transgenicas o modificadas; tambien se proporcionan métodos para confeccionar y utilizar plantas modificadas o transgenicas, asi como los metodos para producir semillas a partir de dichas plantas modificadas o transgenicas, cultivar estas semillas y seleccionar plantas de progenie con rasgos mejorados; se describen ademas plantas modificadas o transgenicas con fenotipos o rasgos alterados utiles para el analisis y la seleccion de instancias, ediciones o mutaciones transgenicas con un rasgo mejorado deseado.
