Abstract
Un proceso para producir ácido acético comprende un proceso que comprende: (1) carbonilar metanol; (2) separar la mezcla de reacción en una fase volátil y una fase menos volátil; (3) destilar la fase volátil para formar una primera sobrecarga rica en un componente en ebullición inferior y una corriente de ácido acético rica en ácido acético; y por lo menos un grupo de pasos seleccionado del grupo que consiste en las siguientes secciones (4), (9), y (15): (4) una sección para separar impurezas de la corriente de ácido acético para dar el ácido acético purificado (9) una sección para separar la primera sobrecarga en una corriente rica en acetaldehído y una corriente rica en yoduro de metilo, y (15) una sección para tratamiento por absorción de un gas de escape del proceso con un solvente de absorción y formar una corriente rica en monóxido de carbono y una corriente rica en ácido acético; en este proceso, la concentración de oxígeno en una fase gaseosa del proceso se controla a menos de 7% en volumen y/o la concentración de oxígeno en una fase líquida del proceso se controla a menos de 7 × 10-5 g/g, y se reduce la formación de yoduro; el proceso reduce o previene efectivamente la corrosión local de una pared interior de una unidad y/o línea del proceso.
