Abstract

La invención se refiere al uso de bajos niveles de glicoles y dioles de cadena corta para controlar la formación de huecos de aire en cualquier reacción de polimerización que tenga monómeros que contengan carbonilo, y de manera preferente monómeros de éster de ácido carboxílico, en un nivel de al menos 10% de monómero total, donde el monómero tiene una temperatura de reacción exotérmica de polimerización pico de mayor que el punto de ebullición del monómero. Los glicoles y dioles de cadena corta se usan en la mezcla de polimerización en niveles de 0.5 a 10 por ciento en peso, basado en el monómero que contiene éster de ácido carboxílico. Se cree que los glicoles y dioles de cadena corta de hidrógeno se enlazan con el monómero que contiene -(C=O)O- para incrementar el punto de ebullición del monómero, y disminuir o aún eliminar la formación de huecos de aire debido a la ebullición del momento.
