Abstract

Un procedimiento para preparar polimerizados, que son apropiados para absorber y almacenar líquidos acuosos, así como los polimerizados que se obtienen de acuerdo con este procedimiento. También, uso de estos polimerizados. El procedimiento comprende las siguientes etapas: polimerización radicálica reticulante de una composición monomérica M, que comprende a) al menos un monómero A, que presenta un enlace doble etilénico y al menos un grupo ácido neutralizable o un grupo hidrolizable en un grupo ácido neutralizable, b) eventualmente uno o varios comonómeros B distintos de los monómeros A, que presentan un enlace doble etilénico, y c) 0,05 al 10% en peso, referido a la cantidad total de los monómeros A y B, al menos de un reticulante C en presencia de al menos una sustancia S que contiene un polisacárido, en un líquido acuoso en donde la relación en peso de la composición monomérica M a la sustancia S está en el rango de 9: 1 a 1: 9; y al menos neutralización parcial de los grupos ácidos y/o hidrólisis de los grupos hidrolizables en grupos ácidos neutralizables en el polimerizado obtenido en la etapa i.; en donde se lleva a cabo la polimerización y/o la neutralización en presencia de urea.
