Abstract

La invención se refiere a un método que permite producir durmientes para la superestructura de vía férrea, que tienen características de rendimiento optimizadas, de una manera económica y confiable en términos del proceso. El método de acuerdo con la invención proporciona los siguientes pasos de producción para este fin: a) proporcionar una mezcla 10 - 60% en masa de la cual consiste en un granulado de un plástico, el cual es deformable mediante la aplicación de calor, y el resto de la cual consiste en una arena que tiene una densidad aparente de 1.4 - 2.0 g/cm3; b) calentar la mezcla a una temperatura de 150 - 200°C; c) verter la mezcla en un molde de prensa que reproduzca el durmiente; d) prensar la mezcla en el molde a una presión de prensado medida en la mezcla de 1 - 5 MPa durante un período de prensado de hasta 60 minutos; e) sacar el durmiente del molde.
