Abstract

Un sistema de suspensión de vehículo de velocidad dual selectivamente conmutable que comprende una configuración de muelle interior accionado por varilla de empuje, convencionalmente orientada entre la masa no amortiguada y la masa amortiguada de una esquina del vehículo, comprendiendo un muelle de barra de torsión de una primera velocidad predeterminada, K1, y un muelle de bobina de una segunda velocidad predeterminada, K2, acomodados en serie para proporcionar una velocidad de muelle combinada total KT; un actuador de bloqueo está acomodado en paralelo con el muelle de bobina y configurado de manera que en un primer modo permite que el muelle de bobina se mueva libremente y en un segundo modo evita el movimiento del muelle de bobina de manera que cuando el actuador de bloqueo está en un primer modo desbloqueado, la velocidad del muelle de suspensión del vehículo general es definida por la ecuación en serie 1/ KT = 1/K1 + 1/K2, y cuando el actuador de bloqueo está en un segundo modo bloqueado, la velocidad del muelle de suspensión del vehículo general es sustancialmente superior conforme a lo definido por KT = K1, proporcionando así selectivamente una configuración de confort de marcha óptima, de baja velocidad y una configuración de maniobra óptima, de alta velocidad.
