Abstract
Un proceso continuo para la preparación de óxido de propileno, que comprende (a) hacer reaccionar propeno, opcionalmente mezclado con propano, con peróxido de hidrógeno en un aparato de reacción en presencia de acetonitrilo como solvente, y así obtener un flujo S0 que contiene óxido de propileno, acetonitrilo, agua, al menos un componente B adicional, opcionalmente, propeno y, opcionalmente, propano, en donde el punto de ebullición normal de al menos un componente B es mayor que el punto de ebullición normal de acetonitrilo, y en donde el logaritmo decimal del coeficiente de partición octanol-agua (log KOW) de al menos un componente B es mayor de 0; (b) separar óxido de propileno de S0, y así obtener un flujo S1 que contiene acetonitrilo, agua y al menos un componente B adicional; (c) dividir S1 en dos flujos S2 y S3; (d) someter S3 a un fraccionamiento vapor-líquido en una primera unidad de fraccionamiento, y así obtener un flujo de fracciones de vapor S4a desprovisto, con respecto a S3, de al menos uno de al menos un componente B, y así obtener un flujo de fondo líquido S4b, y someter al menos parte del flujo de fracciones de vapor S4a a un fraccionamiento vapor-líquido en una segunda unidad de fraccionamiento, y así obtener un flujo de fracciones de vapor S4c y un flujo de fondo líquido S4 desprovisto, con respecto a S4a, de al menos uno de al menos un componente B; (e) recircular al menos una porción de S4, opcionalmente después de la preparación, a (a).
