Abstract
Un sistema y método para la remoción de carboxilatos orgánicos a partir de una corriente monoetilenglicol ("MEGTT) incluye un recipiente de reacción; medios para enfriar y diluir la corriente MEG que se enruta al recipiente de reacción; medios para la acidificación de la corriente MEG enfriada y diluida durante su tiempo de residencia dentro del recipiente de reacción; y medios para retirar una corriente de sobrecarga rica en acético del recipiente de reacción. La acidificación de la corriente MEG enfriada y diluida se produce bajo un vacío. El recipiente de reacción puede estar situado aguas debajo de un recipiente de remoción de calcio y recibir una corriente de fondo filtrada de ese recipiente, o puede ser un solo recipiente de reacción que los ciclos entre un modo de remoción de calcio y un modo de remoción de acetato, con la presión del único recipiente siendo mayor durante el modo de remoción de calcio que durante el modo de remoción de acetato.
