Abstract
Un sistema de celdas electroquímicas y un proceso para operar el mismo, el sistema que tiene al menos dos electrodos de combustible para recibir combustible metálico electrodepositado; al menos un electrodo oxidante espaciado y separado del electrodo de combustible; al menos un electródo de carga; un medio iónicamente conductor que comunica a los electrodos del sistema de celdas electroquímicas para conducir iones para soportar reacciones electroquímicas en los electrodos de combustible, oxidante, y de carga; y, uno o más controladores configurados para operar el sistema de celdas en modos de descarga y carga y monitorear un estado de carga para cada electrodo de combustible.
