Abstract
Se describen mono- y di-alquil-éteres de furan-2,5-dimetanol (FDM) y/o (tetrahidrofuran-2,5-diil)dimetanol (bHMTHF), métodos para su preparación y compuestos químicos derivados de los mismos. En general, el procedimiento de síntesis incluye una reacción de FDM o bHMTHF en un disolvente orgánico aprótico polar que tiene una permitividad (e) >8, a una temperatura que oscila entre aproximadamente -25°C y aproximadamente 100°C con a) una base de Brønsted no impedida estéricamente que tiene una ?pKa =15 con relación a los grupos hidroxilo de FDM o bHMTHF, o b) una base de Brønsted impedida estéricamente que tiene una pKa mínima de aproximadamente 16 y un nucleófilo.
