Abstract

La presente invención proporciona una célula microbiana capaz de producir al menos un alqueno terminal a partir de al menos un ácido graso de cadena corta, en donde la célula se modifica genéticamente para comprender: - al menos una primera mutación genética que incrementa la expresión con relación a la célula tipo silvestre de una enzima (E1) seleccionada de la familia CYP152 peroxigenasa; y - al menos una segunda mutación genética que incrementa la expresión con relación a la célula tipo silvestre de al menos una NAD(P)+ oxidoreductasa (E2) y la proteína mediadora correspondiente, en donde el ácido graso de cadena corta es un ácido graso C4-C10.
