Abstract
El procedimiento incluye tratar previamente la biomasa para proporcionar una biomasa fluidizada; la biomasa fluidizada entonces se somete a impulsos de alta frecuencia y fuerzas de cizallamiento sin desnaturalizar/degradar los componentes individuales de la biomasa; la biomasa luego se somete a una fuerza de compresión para separar una primera fracción líquida de una primera biomasa fraccionada; la primera biomasa fraccionada puede de nueva cuenta someterse entonces a los mismos impulsos de alta frecuencia y fuerzas de cizallamiento como se mencionó previamente, particularmente si hay hemicelulosa y/o azúcares todavía presentes en la primera biomasa fraccionada; las fuerzas de compresión se utilizan para separar una segunda fracción líquida de una segunda biomasa fraccionada; la segunda biomasa fraccionada se somete a oxidación tal como con peróxido de hidrógeno y base a un pH por arriba de 7; la segunda biomasa fraccionada luego se somete a fuerzas de compresión para proporcionar lignina soluble en agua que se puede precipitar al reducir el pH.
